STVP Annual Memorial Program
The STVP Annual Memorial Program is Stop the Violence Program’s first social initiative. The idea of this initiative is to celebrate and honor those who have lost their lives to violence, to support the families of our fallen, and to bring awareness within the local Fairmont Community. During the program there are families who speak on behalf of their loved one(s) they have lost, and community leaders speak as well. Music, food, and drinks are provided.

STVP “Adopt-A-Family 4 Xmas”
Adopt-A-Family 4 Xmas” is Stop the Violence Program’s fourth social initiative. The idea of this initiative is to collectively choose at the minimum four less fortunate families to help them celebrate their Christmas holiday. These families do not particularly pertain to families who have been directly affected by violence, but to those who are in situations that prevent them from being able to provide for their children during the Christmas holiday season.

STVP Spring Youth Field Trip
The STVP Spring Youth Field Trip is Stop the Violence Program’s seventh initiative. The idea of this initiative is to choose a select amount of youth from the local Fairmont community to participate in a community field trip. Chaperones will be provided by the organizations, in addition to any approved volunteer parents, and approved volunteer community members. The trip will be totally funded by STVP and the youth and chaperones will be provided with adequate meals for the duration of the trip.

STVP Prayer Walk
The STVP Prayer Walk is Stop the Violence Program’s second social initiative. The idea of this initiative is to collectively do a community walk in memoriam of all the lives lost to violence within the local Fairmont Community. A chosen start and end destination will be chosen prior to the day of the walk. Prior to beginning and after the walk a prayer will be said. The walk will be led by local clergy and community leaders. Water and snacks will be provided.

Women’s and Men’s Memorial Tournament
The Women’s and Men’s Memorial Tournament is Stop the Violence Program’s fifth initiative. The idea of this initiative is to have two separate tournaments for the women and men players of the local Fairmont community and immediate local surrounding towns to include Marietta, Orrum, Barnesville, and Proctorville in honor of those the community has lost to violence. The idea is to have local coaches from the community to manage and coach the teams. The tournament will be held at the Fairmont High School Gymnasium in Fairmont, North Carolina.

STVP Educational Scholarship Fund
The STVP Educational Scholarship Fund is Stop the Violence Program’s eighth initiative. The idea of this initiative is to provide at the minimum of one student per year with a monetary award to help them with their financial responsibilities while attending an institution of higher learning.
All candidates will be required to complete an application, essay, and panel interview with our board members. All candidates must be attending a school with the intent of obtaining a 2yr Associates Degree, 4 year Bachelor’s Degree, or a particular certification of completion in a particular area or field, which will have to be verified with a letter of acceptance from the attending institution. The winning candidate(s) will be chosen by the board.
STVP Back 2 School Program
The STVP Back 2 School Program is Stop the Violence Program’s third social initiative. The idea of this initiative is to provide the youth of the local Fairmont community a day of enjoyment prior to returning to school. The program will consists of music, food, and various games of enjoyment for the youth. The youth will be provided with small tote or book bags with school supplies.

STVP Spring Donor’s Banquet (in process)
The Donor’s Banquet is Stop the Violence Program’s sixth initiative. The idea of this initiative is to honor our donors in an elegant ball like fashion. The event will be held at a banquet hall that will hold at the minimum 150 people. 120 slots will be open. Donors will submit their application with a minimum of $50 per person and $100 per couple donations and donors will be given slots according to availability with first come, first serve. 10 slots will be reserved for personal invites of the CEO, LaShawna Baker. Donors are welcome to donate any monetary amount above $50 per person and $100 per couple. The $50 will include dinner, entertainment, and raffle-entry. Dress requirement is formal.

STVP Youth Center

The opening of the Stop the Violence Program’s Youth center is the ninth initiative. The idea of this initiative is to provide a place for the youth to engage in activities after school and during periods when school is inactive (summers, holidays). The center will provide a mentor program with adult and youth mentors, classes to spread awareness in areas such as college prep,job prep, financial literacy and preparedness, bullying prevention, gun violence prevention, domestic violence, and sexual violation prevention. The center will also provide counseling, life coaching, and advocacy services, tutoring, and gaming, lounging, and concession area.
